D’Inzillo Sweet Mode: A Tailored System to Manage Warehouse, Production, and Rentals

D’Inzillo Sweet Mode is a historic Roman company specializing in theatrical tailoring and the creation of costumes for opera, theatre, and ballet. Founded as a family atelier and transformed into a theatrical tailoring workshop in the 1970s, the company today represents a craft excellence where creativity, precision, and attention to detail are integral to everyday work.

Just as every costume is born from a specific need and takes shape through meticulous tailoring, the company’s internal organization required a tool capable of adapting to its real processes, without forcing them into rigid structures.

In an operational context rich in variables, materials, processes, and movements, D’Inzillo Sweet Mode needed to evolve the management of its warehouse and rental-related workflows, while maintaining control over daily operations.

The challenge was not just to digitize, but to do it the right way:

  • organize master data, items, manufacturers, warehouses, and labels more efficiently
  • accurately track movements and processing activities on individual items
  • connect internal operations with an online catalog integrated into the company website
  • enable customers to create rental requests in a simple and structured way
  • reduce errors, improve operational continuity, and ensure the system supports work rather than hinders it

For a company dealing with often unique productions and requests, a solution was needed that could combine order, traceability, and flexibility.

Alchemy designed and developed for D’Inzillo Sweet Mode an advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS), built around the client’s real needs and designed to support daily operations smoothly.

The solution includes:

  • structured management of product, manufacturer, warehouse, and label master data
  • control of warehouse movements
  • traceability of processing activities on individual items
  • development of an online catalog integrated with the company website, built by Alchemy and connected via REST APIs
  • use of RFID tags and dedicated readers to quickly identify garments and track their movements across warehouse, production, and rental processes
  • development, via REST APIs, of an online catalog connected to the company website
  • the ability for customers to create carts and submit rental requests, automatically converted into rental documents within the system

The goal was not to introduce a standard software solution, but to create a tool aligned with the company’s way of working: a tailored digital system capable of simplifying complexity without altering existing processes.

The project laid the foundation for a more advanced, structured, and integrated management of business processes, delivering tangible benefits across multiple levels:

  • increased efficiency in warehouse and logistics flow management
  • full traceability of items, supported by RFID tags and readers
  • reduction of operational errors in handling movements
  • integration between warehouse and customer portal for a smoother experience
  • improved operational continuity and stronger data governance
  • a system designed to support daily work, not to burden it

The result is a digital ecosystem that supports D’Inzillo Sweet Mode in managing its operations with the same approach it applies to its craft: precision, method, and attention to detail.
